The Khasgi trust maintains all the monuments built by the Holkar Rulers including those by Devi Ahilyabai all over India. In Indore the undermentioned monuments are worth seeing ;-
1. Martand Mandir, Indore :- Martand Devsthan was constructed in 1832. Malhari Martand is the ancestral diety of Holkar rulers. This is located adjacent to the Rajwada and can be easily assessed by a visitor. This was unfortunately destroyed in the riots in 1984 but was later on rebuilt by the efforts of Maharani Usha Devi, the President of the Khasgi trust. The temple is a structure complete with beautifully carved wooden pillars built alongside the corridor, a central courtyard, sloping roof, a serene garden and a space dedicated to the family deity. The temple of royal family is worth a visit.
2. Holkars’ Gallery :- This is located on the First Floor of Martand Devsthan. This was created in 2017, with an aim to depict the History of the city ; Indore in a simplistic manner, to a visitor. Here, one would also find many artefacts, swords, rifles , utencils used by the Holkar rulers. There is also a Room where rare photographs are displayed.
3. Chhatri bagh :- One of the major attractions of the city, Chhatri Bagh that houses chhatris or cenotaphs are memorial canopies built in the memory of the Holkar rulers. The chhatris are magnificent works of art that represent Maratha architecture. Featured with excellent Maratha-style domes and pyramidal spires, these chhatris are made of several different types of stone and feature elaborately carved exteriors and columns. The Evenings at Chhatri Bagh are blissful when the cenotaphs are beautifully illuminated and visitors can take a peaceful walk in its beautifully maintained garden and enjoy the serenity.
4. Maharaja Hari rao Chhattri :- The Hari Rao Holkar Chhatri in the Chhatribagh area was built in memory of Hari Rao Holkar, the tenth ruler of the Holkar Dynasty. The cenotaph is engraved by the images of Gods and Goddesses. The Garden and the Kund/Pond within the premises provide a visitor a serene environment to spend time with self away from the hustle bustle of the city.
5. Krishanpura Chatri :- This Chatri is a complex that contains three chhatris and five cenotaphs. These were also constructed by the Holkar rulers. These are located on the bank of the nearby Kahn River. The chhatris are made of several different types of stone, and feature elaborately carved exteriors and columns.
खासगी ट्रस्ट पूरे भारत में देवी अहिल्याबाई सहित होलकर शासकों द्वारा निर्मित सभी स्मारकों का रखरखाव करता है। इंदौर में निम्नलिखित स्मारक देखने लायक हैं;-
1. मार्तंड मंदिर, इंदौर:- मार्तंड देवस्थान का निर्माण 1832 में हुआ था। मल्हारी मार्तंड होलकर शासकों के कुल देवता है। यह राजवाड़ा के निकट स्थित है और कोई भी आगंतुक इसका आसानी से अवलोकन कर सकता है। दुर्भाग्य से 1984 के दंगों में यह नष्ट हो गया था लेकिन बाद में खासगी ट्रस्ट की अध्यक्ष महारानी उषा देवी के प्रयासों से इसका पुनर्निर्माण किया गया। मंदिर एक संपूर्ण संरचना है जिसमें गलियारे के साथ-साथ सुंदर नक्काशीदार लकड़ी के खंभे, एक केंद्रीय आंगन, ढलान वाली छत, एक शांत उद्यान और परिवार के देवता को समर्पित एक स्थान है। शाही परिवार का यह मंदिर देखने लायक है।
2. होलकर गैलरी:- यह मार्तण्ड देवस्थान के प्रथम तल पर स्थित है। इस गैलरी को इंदौर शहर के इतिहास को चित्रित करने के उद्देश्य से 2017 में बनाया गया था | यहां आपको होलकर शासकों द्वारा इस्तेमाल की जाने वाली कई कलाकृतियां, तलवारें, राइफलें, बर्तन भी मिलेंगे। इस गैलरी में दुर्लभ तस्वीरों भी संग्रह है।
3. छत्रीबाग:- शहर के प्रमुख आकर्षणों में से एक है छत्री बाग, जिसमें होलकर शासकों की याद में बनाई गई छत्रियां या स्मारक हैं। सभी छत्रियां कला की शानदार कृतियाँ हैं जो मराठा वास्तुकला का प्रतिनिधित्व करती हैं। उत्कृष्ट मराठा शैली के गुंबदों और पिरामिडनुमा शिखरों से सुसज्जित, ये छत्रियां कई अलग-अलग प्रकार के पत्थरों से बनी हैं और इनमें विस्तृत रूप से नक्काशीदार बाहरी भाग और स्तंभ हैं। छत्री बाग की शाम आनंददायक होती है जब स्मारकों को खूबसूरती से रोशन किया जाता है और आगंतुक इसके खूबसूरती से बनाए गए बगीचे में शांतिपूर्ण सैर कर सकते हैं और शांति का आनंद ले सकते हैं।
4. महाराजा हरिराव छत्री:- छत्रीबाग क्षेत्र में हरि राव होल्कर छत्री का निर्माण होलकर राजवंश के दसवें शासक हरि राव होलकर की याद में किया गया था। स्मारक पर देवी-देवताओं की तस्वीरें उकेरी गई हैं। परिसर के भीतर गार्डन और कुंड/तालाब आगंतुकों को शहर की हलचल से दूर स्वयं के साथ समय बिताने के लिए एक शांत वातावरण प्रदान करते हैं।
5. कृष्णपुरा छत्री:- एक परिसर में तीन छत्रियां और पाँच स्मारक हैं। इनका निर्माण भी होलकर शासकों द्वारा करवाया गया था। ये छत्रियां मार्तंड देवस्थान के पास ही काह्न नदी के तट पर स्थित हैं। यह छत्रियां कई अलग-अलग प्रकार के पत्थरों से बनी हैं, और इनमें विस्तृत रूप से नक्काशीदार बाहरी भाग और स्तंभ हैं।
